Biography

Hayata Shibano is currently studying with Elena Margolina-Hait at the Master of Hochschule für Musik Detmold. He graduated Bachelor of Kyoto City University of Arts with Risa Iwai and studied with Masatoshi Matsumoto. He won 1st prize in Qualia Music Competition, Toyonaka Music Competition, Neyagawa Arukas Piano Competition, 25th Kobe International Music Competition and Munich Piano Competition 2022. He won 2nd prize in Bremen International Piano Competition and Tadini International Piano Competition 2022. The pianist has participated in masterclasses given by Dina Yoffe, Krzysztof Jablonski, Pascal Rogé and Boris Petrushansky. He has appeared with many orchestras, played many recitals in Japan, Germany and Italy and was appointed to music embassy for Yashio city.

 

Due to health reasons the candidates Shotaro Nishimura and Zixi Chen could not participate in the GPP 2022. They received the possibility to participate in this edition.
