Winner of the third prize at the prestigious "International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn" and the first prize at the "R. Schumann Competition Düsseldorf", Giorgio Lazzari has already performed both as a soloist and a chamber musician in various European cities, receiving critical acclaim. He has participated in prestigious festivals such as Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Festival d'Aix en Provence, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Düsseldorf Schumannfest, Festival Pianistico Internazionale di Brescia e Bergamo, Milano Musica, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Perugia Musica Classica, G.I.A Brescia, Bonner Schumannfest, Musica Insieme Bologna. Graduated from the G. Donizetti Conservatory, he currently continues his training with K. Gerstein at the HfM H. Eisler in Berlin.
Due to health reasons the candidates Shotaro Nishimura and Zixi Chen could not participate in the GPP 2022. They received the possibility to participate in this edition.
