Biography

Jacopo Petrucci began studying piano at the age of 7 at the "A. Casella" Conservatory in L'Aquila, from which he graduated with the highest grades and honours in Piano and Composition. He then perfected his skills at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He attended masterclasses with Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Andrea Lucchesini ("Mozarteum Summer Academy"), and Andrzej Pikul (Accademia "Krzysztof Penderecki" in Krakow). Interested in the musical expressions of the 20th century and contemporary era, he collaborates with the Ensemble Novecento and the PMCE. He is the winner of the 17th edition of the "Premio Nazionale delle Arti" for Composition.

Due to health reasons the candidates Shotaro Nishimura and Zixi Chen could not participate in the GPP 2022. They received the possibility to participate in this edition.
